Precisely, Neoblast started as a production name to push and help Neuraxis for booking and management. The more we learned how things works and turns in the underground, we've noticed lots of stuff that we could do with the name. With all the experience and reliable contacts we've earned thru almost 10 years of dedictation to the scene as a fan and a musician: We're pretty sure to make the difference...

Quebec scene - Latest news - July 2002

Neoblast's new office is operationnal, expect to see some changes. -Steven Henry(President/Webmaster) ATTENTION, all ABITIBI fans, the NEURAXIS show in Lebel-Sur-Quevillon on July 12th, is now moved back to August 2rd, with APHASIA and OHYUKUS opening. Prepare for a good show! The Neoblast Compilation 2 "Quebec Invasion" is reviewed(only in french) at http://www.metalzine.com, very interesting review. Also, the compilation is currently being played on http://www.zwarp.com and http://www.xwarp.net, both on "Genocide Radio", go check it out! ANONYMUS will be in studio (starting july 16)with Pierre Remillard to record the forthcoming album. The band has written fourteen songs for the next recording session. They will then choose which one will make it to the album... GHOULUNATICS & FUCK THE FACTS will do an Ontario tour 2002 in july... BLOOD OF CHRIST will take you on a rampage with their new album "As the Rain Gently Falls", soon available at the end of July. BLOOD OF CHRIST are also in the works of their first Canadian tour, most probably happening this fall... QUO VADIS the melodic Death Thrashers are getting ready to enter Pierre Remillard's studio to produce the follow-up to "Day Into Night". Scheduled for a late 2002 release, "From Sequence to Consequence" will explore various elements of modern and traditional Metal, with a technical touch distinct to QUO VADIS. The fans shall not be disappointed as the new album will shred everything in its path! The compilation of unreleased/remixed/live tracks "Passage in Time" is still available at all fine record stores... Scheduled for Fall 2002, "Into the Blizzard..." Vol. 2 will feature some of the best Canadian Metal talent. Tracks are presently being selected and an official release date will soon be announced... L'Ulcère de vos Nuits & The Darkest Hours are organising a big METAL PARTY. Saturday ,August 3rd at Café Chaos, 1635 St-Denis (514-844-1301) Tikets on sale at Café Chaos Monday night only during the Soirée Atroce. (Ask Ugly DJ) More than 20 contest (CDs, Posters,etc..) and a DVD PLAYER!!!!!! Be sure to come and party with us!!!! ... A new band has been formed with a member of Atheretic and ex members of Spasme, Kralizec, Adenine the name of band is not decided yet... NEGATIVA, the new project of former Gorguts Steeve Hurdle, the band plan to do a demo. Expect something similar to Obcura... KATAKLYSM just entered Victor studio with guitarist/producer J-F Dagenais this Saturday (June 1st) to commence recording the new album "Shadows & Dust". The mixing process of the album will take place at Pierre Remillard's (Obliveon) studio Wildsound. The whole album should be over by June 25th. Kataklysm has also confirmed its appearance at the "Snake Pit radio festival" in North Carolina (June 27-29). The band will then fly to Germany for the "With Full Force festival" to co-headline the Hardbowl stage on July 5th. And finally!!... Katakysm will be touring North America in the late summer as part of "Death Across America"... ROSTRUM is back with their drum machine and also hired ex-Spasme bassist, Jean-Sebastien... Galy Records and Great White North Records/Grind It! invites all fans of metal to the listening party to celebrate the album releases of Trails Of Anguish, Unquintessence and Cryptopsy(The 1st demo "Ungentle Exhumation" will be available starting July 9th on Galy Records) - Wednesday July 17th from 6pm to 8pm at Cafe Chaos, 1637 St-Denis, Mtl(Berri-Uquam metro). Its free for all and everyone is invited. The albums will be for sale at the venue(for only $10 or 3 for $25)... SOMBRE NOSTALGIE have put back their release of their 1st album due to health problems of their producer. The release of the album initialy due for June, will now be available at the end of August/early September 2002... ASGARD have found a new drummer, the well known Steve "Death" McDonald(of Gorguts fame)...
